Cena

Smoked Prosciutto wrapped Tenderloin, butternut squash ricotta agnolotti, brussels, pear mostarda.

Adding another notch to our GOAT restaurant scoreboard we visited Cena (pronounced chaina, meaning supper in Italian) in the Channelside District recently. Award-winning Chef Michael Buttacavoli, who earned his chops being Chef de Cuisine at Boca and SideBern’s, opened Cena in 2013.

It doesn’t have the longevity of some of the other eateries on our tour, but the consistency of quality and creativity qualifies it. The menu offers a changing assortment of antipasti, Insalata, pasta, and protein dishes along with a delectable dessert menu. While they have a full bar, try one of the Italian wines on their list. They offer fast friendly and professional service and easy reservations online. The atmosphere is trendy (not a typical linen-tabled, quiet Italian place. Good!)
